Creating Your Wiki

1. Visit: http://www.wikispaces.com/
2. Choose “Wikis for Individuals and Groups”
3. Type in your school username, password, and email address
4. Choose the option “yes” to create a new wiki
5. Give your wiki a name (your username)
6. Choose “protected
7. The Wiki Type is “K-12 Education (Primary and Secondary)”
8. Click “Join Now”
9. You’ve just created your wiki!
10. Now, work on the appearance of your wiki
11. Click “Manage Wiki”
12. Under settings, click “Look and Feel,” then “Themes and Colors”

Sharing Your Wiki Address

1. Once your wiki is up and running, copy the wiki website address and paste it into an email to me: kanderson@cysd.k12.pa.us
Please include your full name and class period in the email so I know who you are!!!
2. I will email you a response once I have received your link.

Creating a New Page on your Wiki

1. Create a new page on your wiki by clicking “new page”
2. The title of the page should correspond to the assignment- see wiki assignment page
3. Complete the entry (the directions for all wiki entries is on my wiki assignments page)
4. Don’t forget to save (You must complete your work in a Google Document or Microsoft Word document and copy and paste it onto the wiki. This way you have a back up of your work if the technology doesn’t work, times out, etc...)
5. Remember, you are adding a page to your wiki, not mine.
